Congratulations on a Great 2025 Season!
Last Wednesday, May 14th, Sophie Donalson made it official with a signing day that committed her to play softball for Texas Lutheran University, starting in the 2025 fall season. Sophie is one of Bellaire's starting pitchers and also plays first base. Sophie will be joining TLU as a pitcher.
Sophie was surrounded by several family members, friends, teammates past and present, and coaches past and present when she put pen to paper. We are all so proud of her and are so excited for Sophie as she continues to play softball and build on her skills.
Sophie, we are excited to see you do what you love and we will be your biggest cheerleaders! Congratulations!

Atascocita saw the competition and knew they had to come in like a force, and that they did.
In Game 1 on Thursday night, Bellaire was able to hold the Atascocita Eagles to just one run in the first inning, but in the second inning the Eagles found their groove and kept the runs coming for a quite handily win.
Atascocita kept the momentum going in Thursday's Game 2. And though Bellaire was able to keep Atascocita from scoring in the first inning, once again the Eagles' bats got hot in the second inning and they propelled themselves to an early win.
We are proud of our Bellaire Cardinal varsity players. Even if their season ended before they wanted it to, they gave their fans a lot to cheer for throughout the season. These student athletes juggled their intense academic schedules with afterschool practices, scrimmages and games, and multiple tournaments... right along with all their other extracurricular activities. These Cardinals are more than ballplayers, they're daughters, sisters, friends... club leaders, community volunteers, and much more.
So Lady Cardinals, congratulations on an amazing season! And good luck to our seven seniors who left it all on the field for the final time. They've hung up their cleats, for now.

The hits started early and just kept on coming!
Once again Bella Rivera started out as the first at-bat with a home run over center field. Fulshear scored and went ahead in the bottom of the 1st with two runs, but in the top of the 2nd Bellaire tied it up and scored an additional two runs. By the end of the 2nd inning Fulshear had gone ahead 6-5, but that was the last time they'd see the lead.
Bellaire tied it up in the 4th and went ahead 9-6, then by the middle of the 5th inning led 11-6. Two runs were scored in the 6th, and one more run scored in the 7th, finishing the game at 14-7 for Bellaire High School.
Bella Rivera started out on the mound pitching a solid game. She pitched a total of four innings, holding a talented and exuberant team to just six runs. Sophie Donalson came in the bottom of the 5th to finish strong for the Lady Cardinals. She allowed Fulshear just one run.
Now Bellaire will take on Atascocita in the Regional Semifinals in a best-of-three series starting Wednesday, May 7th, at 6:30. All games will be played at 6:30pm at Cy Fair High School.
Be sure to come out and cheer on the Lady Cards!

Cypress Creek proved to be a tough opponent in Bi-District playoffs. They came onto Bellaire's home turf at Butler Stadium on Thursday evening and took the first game in a close one with a score of 3-1.
Bella Rivera started on the mound pitching for the Lady Cardinals. This game featured a solo home run from Lauren Magid in the bottom of the 2nd inning, putting Bellaire on the board first. But Cy Creek came back in the 5th inning and scored three runs to take the first game in the series.
Sophie Donalson took the mound in game two. Bella Rivera scored immediately with a solo home run in the 1st inning, and Bellaire extended the lead by one in the 3rd. Cy Creek put on a strong show that same inning with five runs. The Lady Cards tied it up in the 4th, then pulled ahead in the 6th inning with three more runs. Bellaire seemed to get under Cy Creek's skin in the 7th inning when they scored six runs. Cy Creek attempted a comeback but were cut short after two runs. Final score: 14-7.
Game three was a nail-biter with Bella Rivera back on the mound. Bellaire put up two runs in the 1st inning, but Cy Creek came back with five runs in the 1st and 2nd innings. Bellaire rallied once again in the 5th and 6th innings with three runs, taking the lead 6-5. In the 7th inning with two outs and two strikes on the batter, Cy Creek managed a hit to bring in a runner, tying the game. That same inning, a game-saving catch by Bellaire's center fielder, Meaghan Lande, sent the game into extra innings. The game ended after the 8th inning after Bellaire scored three runs and then held Cy Creek. Final score: 9-6.
Stay tuned for Area playoff information...and be sure to come out and cheer on the Lady Cards!
